The Grand Stadium of Marrakech

Bearing the colors of the Ochre City (Marrakech), the Grand Stadium of Marrakech has been the stage for several memorable events, combining passion, rigor, and comfort.

Located north of Marrakech, 20 minutes from the city center and the airport, the Grand Stade de Marrakech enclosure is inspired by the medina and blends tradition with contemporary lines. It was inaugurated on January 5, 2011, with two significant matches bringing together Moroccan teams (Wydad of Casablanca and Kawkab of Marrakech) and French clubs (Olympique Lyonnais (OL) and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG)). Host of the Club World Cup in 2013 and 2014, the Grand Stade de Marrakech now offers a capacity of 40,500 seats, maximum visibility, controlled flow of people, and leading-edge media facilities. By 2030, a new phase of work will increase its total capacity to nearly 46,000 seats and install a complete roof.
