Marrakech Air Show 2026: At the Forefront of Tomorrow’s Aviation

From 7th to 10th October 2026, Marrakech will host one of the leading aerospace events in Africa and the Mediterranean region. Held every two years, the Marrakech Air Show brings together aircraft manufacturers, airlines, equipment suppliers, aerospace companies, investors, air forces, research centres and international decision-makers around a shared ambition: shaping the future of aviation. Far more than a trade exhibition, the event has become a major meeting point where the industry’s technological, industrial and environmental trends take shape.

An Event That Has Become a Fixture on the Industry Calendar

Over the years, the Marrakech Air Show has established itself as a leading platform for aerospace professionals. The 2024 edition brought together more than 300 exhibitors, 75 official delegations and several thousand visitors across 12,500 square metres of exhibition space. Over four days, conferences, business meetings, flying displays and presentations of the latest innovations will once again set the pace. Artificial intelligence, decarbonised aviation, sustainable aviation fuels, cybersecurity, future air mobility and digitalisation will all be at the heart of the discussions, offering a clear insight into the major transformations shaping air transport today. Thousands of visitors are expected to attend.

A New Chapter in Its Development

The 2026 edition marks an important milestone with the creation of the Association du Salon International de l’Aéronautique et du Spatial (ASSAD). Bringing together Morocco’s leading public institutions, major aerospace companies and Royal Air Maroc, this permanent organisation provides the show with stronger governance and reinforces its ambition to become firmly established among the world’s leading aerospace events. More than a biennial exhibition, the Marrakech Air Show is becoming a strategic platform supporting the development and international profile of Morocco’s aerospace industry.

Showcasing Morocco’s Aerospace Success Story

The growing international appeal of the Marrakech Air Show also reflects the remarkable rise of Morocco’s aerospace industry. In just a few decades, the Kingdom has become a major industrial hub, home to more than 160 international companies, including Airbus, Boeing, Safran, RTX, Spirit AeroSystems and Hexcel. Today, more than 26,000 highly skilled professionals work across a sector that exports nearly US$3 billion annually and has achieved a local integration rate of almost 40 per cent, among the highest in the world.

Royal Air Maroc: A Pioneer of Morocco’s Aerospace Ecosystem

Part of this success can be traced back to the history of Royal Air Maroc. As early as 1958, the airline established its first maintenance facilities in Casablanca. It later helped create SMES, together with Safran, specialising in engine maintenance, followed by MATIS in partnership with Boeing and Safran. These initiatives played a key role in structuring Morocco’s aerospace ecosystem and gradually attracted many of the world’s leading aerospace companies to the Kingdom.
