LOS ANGELES BEYOND THE CALIFORNIA DREAM

The epicentre of global cinema, television and entertainment, Los Angeles unfolds like a life-size film, framed by legendary studios, iconic beaches and golden hills. From cult locations to sunsets over the Pacific, from arty caf.s to glamorous escapes in Beverly Hills, the city shifts effortlessly from one scene to the next. Ultra-creative, sunlit and larger than life, Los Angeles stands as a dazzling expression of the American Dream. From June 7th 2026, Royal Air Maroc opens the doors to this legendary destination. Light, energy, freedom. Step on board. The film begins.

LOS ANGELES, THROUGH THE SENSES

Los Angeles is not a city to be measured by the clock. It is crossed, felt and discovered in fragments. Vast, sun-drenched and profoundly cinematic, the City of Angels reveals itself through contrasts: glamour and freedom, memory and the future, city and horizon. More than a stay, L.A. is a whirlwind of larger-than-life experiences.

THE THRILL OF CINEMA: STUDIOS, STARS AND GRAND LUXURY

Since the early twentieth century, Hollywood has shaped the collective imagination. In Los Angeles, cinema has not merely given rise to an industry, but to a universal language that transcends eras and genres. From Chinatown to La La Land, from Mulholland Drive to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, the city continually reinvents itself without ever losing its light. Here, every neighbourhood feels conceived as a set, every horizon framed like a wide shot. Beyond cinema, Los Angeles is also one of the major birthplaces of animation.

To experience this dream factory first-hand, a visit to the studios is essential. At Universal Studios Hollywood, immersion is spectacular, moving between imagined worlds and behind-the-scenes filmmaking. Warner Bros. Studios offers a more intimate perspective, centred on sound stages and cult television series, while the legendary Walt Disney Studios recall the many iconic stories born there.

Cinema is also experienced in the open air. Along Hollywood Boulevard, the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the TCL Chinese Theatre turn a stroll into a living museum. Then comes Beverly Hills, with Rodeo Drive, its dreamlike shopfronts, private villas and carefully choreographed elegance. As evening falls, legendary tables such as Spago, The Polo Lounge or Mastro’s extend the Hollywood dream. In Los Angeles, cinema is not merely watched; it is lived and shared.

THE FREEDOM OF THE PACIFIC

Los Angeles is inseparable from the ocean. Venice Beach, Santa Monica and Malibu are global icons, filmed countless times.

Just thirty minutes from the heart of the city, the Venice Canals offer a picturesque, almost contemplative setting, with charming bridges, tranquil reflections and historic homes.

Venice Beach reveals its permanent spectacle: skaters, street performers, bodybuilders at Muscle Beach, a cycle path stretching along

the sand and vibrant mural art. The energy is contagious. Just a short walk away, Abbot Kinney Boulevard embodies the lifestyle, with its boutiques, galleries and concept stores, where the neighbourhood’s bohemian spirit blends with a distinctly contemporary elegance.

Santa Monica, with its vast beach and the legendary Santa Monica Pier, brings the day to a close with a spectacular sunset. The Ferris wheel, one of the few in the world powered by solar energy, and the small fairground extend the California dream: a concentrated expression of free-spirited, sunlit living close at hand.

HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL DEPTH

To discover Los Angeles beyond its clich.s, there is nothing quite like returning to its origins. The birthplace of L.A., El Pueblo takes visitors back to the late eighteenth century, with its adobe houses and Hispanic heritage. Just steps away, the Art Deco railway station continues this journey through time. Enthusiasts of American mythology will head to the Autry Museumof the American West, which explores the Gold Rush and the enduring imagination of Hollywood westerns.

Downtown Los Angeles reveals the city’s urban verticality. It can be experienced with a retro nod aboard Angels Flight, the iconic funicular linking Bunker Hill to Hill Street. Nearby, the Grand Central Market, the city’s oldest covered market, invites a gourmet pause, offering Korean cuisine, burgers, egg sandwiches and indulgent doughnuts.

Art and architecture shine vividly at The Broad, a striking temple of contemporary art located next to the Museum of Contemporary Art. The Bradbury Building also captivates with its glass roof and wrought-iron staircases, a cult setting from Blade Runner. Little Tokyo, meanwhile, transports visitors into a distinctly Japanese world of izakayas, traditional craft shops and Japanese pop culture.

Los Angeles is also home to the largest urban park in the United States, Griffith Park, a backdrop for iconic films ranging from Rebel Without a Cause to Transformers and Terminator, and home to the Griffith Observatory. On foot or on horseback, the walk leads to one of California’s most breathtaking panoramas: the observatory’s Art Deco and Egyptian-inspired architecture, the city stretching as far as the eye can see, and the iconic Hollywood sign.

THE CALL OF THE HORIZON

Los Angeles is as much a point of departure as it is a destination. Just a few hours are enough to radically change the scenery.

  • Joshua Tree National Park, around 2.5 to 3 hours away (210 km), captivates with its blend of sculpted rock formations, silence and light, making it ideal for contemplative exploration or an unforgettable sunset.
  • Death Valley National Park, approximately 4.5 to 5 hours away (430 km), unfolds its extreme horizons, where dunes, canyons and otherworldly colours create a sense of total immersion.
  • Palm Springs, a two-hour drive (175 km), embodies desert elegance. Mid-century architecture, iconic hotels, galleries and legendary swimming pools unfold at the foot of the mountains, in an atmosphere that is both chic and relaxed.
  • San Francisco, about six hours away (615 km) via the fastest route, turns California into a life-size film set. Two options then present themselves: following the coast along the legendary Highway 1, slower but spectacular, or opting for the inland route, more direct and ideal for reaching the Bay quickly and continuing the California adventure.
