Welcome to Fez

Fez, the oldest of Morocco’s imperial cities, is recognized as one of the largest and best-preserved historic cities in the Arab world. A veritable sensory labyrinth, its medieval heart, “Fès el-Bali”, is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The spiritual capital of Morocco, founded in the 8th century, the city is also the gateway to Ifrane and Azrou, peaceful and green small mountain towns, nestled at the foot of the Middle Atlas Mountain range.

“Fez has been my home for twelve years; my children were born there. The city first seduced me, then adopted me, and today, I have settled here”, highlights Awa Diakhaté, a specialized hospitality consultant of Senegalese origin. For her, Fez is synonymous with authenticity, spirituality, and warmth. Her favorite neighborhood? The Medina.
